Parliament House is located at the corner of George and Alice Streets, Brisbane and is within easy walking distance of the Brisbane CBD. You can also catch a bus or ferry to Parliament House. There are also numerous public car-parking stations within the CBD.

Kate Ashgrove has a keen interest in her communtiy and the rights of people, CIFS appreciates her support.

This venue provided a spacious environment for the lectures and workshops. Lunches and morning teas were provided in a large area which was filled with talk as people networked and shared their own stories. The energy and enthusiasm of participants for the conference material was plainly evident.

Books were available in the foyer with several signings by authors. The books were mainly personal stories of lives damaged by abusive groups, and how people managed to leave and come to terms with their experiences.
