I bring to your attention the recent launch of

Cult to Christ:
The Church With No Name and the
Legacy of the Living Witness Doctrine

will resonate deeply with anyone who has been subject to the spiritual trauma

» “I especially liked the tone of this expose. It was truthful without being vicious. It was helpful without being pushy. Definitely recommend this book to all who are still in a religious cult or have been in one. It is a bright light shining out of the darkness. Perfect length. Easy to read.”
– Patricia Wheeler [Amazon Review]

Confronting the Cults & Recognising Spiritual Trauma – An Important Book

This is not a book about physical or sexual abuse. It is not a theological book. This is simply a story about a personal journey from complete faith and belief in one particular religious group to a personal faith in Jesus as Saviour.

This is a book for those who want to know how to ask the hard questions about their own spiritual life. It is a book that will resonate deeply with anyone who has been subject to the spiritual trauma of trying to make sense of what they are taught to believe and not allowed to question. This is a book about breaking free from the bondage to any one particular group that claims exclusive spiritual authority and obedience to its own subjective rules.

Eminently readable in a personal narrative style, many have said they could not put it down from the moment they opened the cover.

About the Book

Elizabeth was born and raised in a nameless and secretive worldwide cult that claims exclusive origin from the New Testament apostolic ministry and blatantly describes all other churches as ‘false’ A fourth generation member, she professed faith at the age of sixteen and fully intended to remain there, even when she discovered that the system she believed in was based on a lie. This confronting and deeply personal account gives an inside perspective into the mind-set of cult members, and reveals the fear and trauma associated with being forced to investigate your own beliefs even if it could mean destroying the very foundations of everything you believe.

Background on the Church With No Name

Who and where are the members of this group?
Believe it or not, they exist in many - if not most - towns and cities across Australia, Britain and America. They have also extended into many other countries on every continent. They meet in private homes on Sunday mornings, and in rented halls (school, community) during the week. They hide in plain sight, being almost impossible to recognise even if you stumble across them, as individually they claim no name, denomination, affiliation or even organisation. In truth are a highly organised worldwide ministry with an extensive following that carefully hides its origins even from its own members. They refer to each other as “the friends” and to their clergy as “the workers”. They are now commonly referred to by ex-members and outsiders as the “Two-by-Twos”, in reference to their style of ministry in pairs. They cannot be located by any name or address or website. Members of the public will only come across them by responding to small advertisements in public newspapers.

» “Thank you for putting into words the things many of us just could not nail with words of description!”

» “We devoured your book within days of receiving it in the mail. We so relate to your story and have also learned (after reading your book) how the brain washing has effected the way we think and live our lives, even though we have been free for over 20 years.”
[name privately supplied]

» “Well, this won’t be a very popular review among many who know me. Change some names, change some places – this book is the story of my life. I read it in one day, cried several times, and am thankful that Elizabeth Coleman was brave enough to write it.”
– Thomas [Amazon.com review]

» “I had been a member of this church for 22 years, I have been out for almost 2 years. This book is well researched in the church’s history and clearly explains the doctrine its members/workers believe. I was glad the author shared her personal experiences in the fellowship and her journey of faith that lead to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, unmediated by the workers and friends. Thank you, this book has been healing for me.”
– MSMary [Amazon.com review]

» “I just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed reading your book so VERY much and it resonated with me. I know you will have detractors but I want you to know that this book will be an important book for so many people.”
[name privately supplied]

» “We have just finished reading the kindle version of your book and we would have to give it a 10 out of 10. An excellent read. So grateful that you have taken the time and effort to write such a book. We laughed and cried as we read it. It was so closely aligned to our experience.”
